High bay LED lights are lighting types that are mainly used in commercial spaces like workshops, factories and airports. They are great options for working and industrial areas since they greatly enhance the visibility of the working environment.

Very often, dimming the brightness of LED lights creates a comfortable and soothing environment.

Adjusting the brightness levels allows individuals to customize the lighting to suit their needs and preferences. This ensures a feeling of well-being and enhances the overall atmosphere.

Moreover, dimming LED lights can significantly contribute to energy conservation and cost savings.

Dimming high bay lights can be achieved using special devices called “dimmers”.

The dimming feature of high bay LED lights is in fact very effective to control the brightness, offer better visibility and to lower electricity consumption, making it an ideal lighting fixture that is worth the investment.

How to dim the high bay LED lights

High bay LED lights use a signal-based dimming feature known as 0-10V dimming. This means you get dimming levels from 0% to 100%, with the 0% referring to an off setting.

Unlike traditional high bay lights, high bay LED lights operate on direct current (DC) instead of alternating current (AC) to meet their connection for the dimming feature to work.

The driver used to process the input to the LED lights is the device responsible for dimming. The 1V to 10V signals send a command to the driver to control the output brightness level.

To dim the high bay LED lights, you need to connect the wire of the LED dimmer switch to the high bay fixture in order to control the percentage of brightness down from 100% to the required level..

The LED dimmer switch should preferably be installed at the time of initial product installation in order to secure the proper wire connections to the fixture. The dimming switch can be used like any other lighting switch to turn the lights on and off.

The signal system controls the lighting output of the fixture and using it, you can adjust the lighting level from 50% during the day to 100% during the night.
